# Frequently asked questions

> Answers to the questions server owners and members ask most about Vetox.

## Getting started

<AccordionGroup>
  <Accordion title="I added Vetox and nothing works">
    Almost every feature is **off by default**. Open [Server Setup](/en/server-management/setup) and switch on what you want.
  </Accordion>

  <Accordion title="Does Vetox need Administrator?">
    The invite link requests it for convenience, but it is not required. Grant only what the features you use need — see [Permissions](/en/permissions).

    What genuinely matters is **role position**: the Vetox role must sit above any role it manages.
  </Accordion>

  <Accordion title="Is Vetox free?">
    Yes. Moderation, leveling, welcomes, tickets, giveaways, suggestions, self-roles, counting and streaks are all free with no time limit. Premium raises limits and adds features — see [Server Premium](/en/premium/overview).
  </Accordion>

  <Accordion title="What is the difference between Server Premium and Membership?">
    **Server Premium** upgrades one server and is bought by whoever manages it. **Membership** upgrades your personal account and follows you everywhere.

    They are independent. Membership unlocks no server features, and Server Premium unlocks no personal ones.
  </Accordion>
</AccordionGroup>

## Premium

<AccordionGroup>
  <Accordion title="Which tier do I need?">
    **Basic** unlocks the most by far — Anti-Raid, notifications, embed messages, sticky and delayed roles, most ticket and application features, Battle Pass.

    **Max** removes limits and adds Access Control for delegating to staff.

    **Black** exists for AI. Over Max it adds little else.
  </Accordion>

  <Accordion title="Does Custom Bot include AI?">
    **No.** Custom Bot is an add-on, not a tier change. **Max+ has no AI.** Only Black and Black+ do.
  </Accordion>

  <Accordion title="What happens if I cancel?">
    You keep everything until the end of the period you paid for. Then the server drops to Starter.

    Most over-limit data is disabled and restored if you resubscribe — but **nine categories are permanently deleted**, notably application questions above the new limit. See [Feature limits](/en/premium/feature-limits).
  </Accordion>

  <Accordion title="Can I move premium to a different server?">
    Yes. A subscription belongs to your account, not to a server.
  </Accordion>

  <Accordion title="Can I buy premium for someone else's server?">
    You can share yours with an invite code — single-use, 7-day expiry. Billing and ownership stay with you.
  </Accordion>

  <Accordion title="I was charged more than the page showed">
    Two known display defects understate prices: yearly **Membership**, and **Custom Bot** in the checkout dialog. The payment provider's own screen is authoritative, and the tables in this documentation carry the real figures.
  </Accordion>

## Features

<AccordionGroup>
  <Accordion title="Why do administrators bypass Auto-Moderation?">
    By design — staff are never filtered. It is not shown in the interface, which is why rules appear broken when an admin tests them. Test with a normal account.
  </Accordion>

  <Accordion title="Can a message trigger two Auto-Mod rules?">
    No. Rules are evaluated in order and the **first match wins**.
  </Accordion>

  <Accordion title="How is AI Auto-Mod different from Auto-Moderation?">
    Auto-Moderation matches patterns — words, links, caps. AI Auto-Moderation reads meaning, so it catches sarcasm, coded language and deliberate misspellings, in any language, and it reads images.

    Auto-Moderation is free; AI requires **Black**.
  </Accordion>

  <Accordion title="Why is my server leaderboard different from the website's?">
    `/top` ranks XP earned **in that server**. The website ranks **global** XP across all of Vetox.

    Membership XP multipliers apply to global XP only — nobody can buy their way up your server's rankings.
  </Accordion>

  <Accordion title="Can I have more than 10 Twitch streamers?">
    No. Ten per platform is a flat limit on every tier, including Black.
  </Accordion>

  <Accordion title="Why did my notification not fire?">
    Three things must all be true: **Basic** premium, the platform's toggle in Server Setup, and Embed Links in the channel. The notifications page shows you none of them.
  </Accordion>

## Vito and cosmetics

<AccordionGroup>
  <Accordion title="How do I earn Vito?">
    The [daily reward](/en/members/daily-reward) and [voting](/en/members/voting), plus a one-time 250 for completing your profile.

    **Chatting does not earn Vito.** Nor does XP, giveaways or Battle Pass progress.
  </Accordion>

  <Accordion title="I bought a colour and it is still locked elsewhere">
    Ownership is **per surface**. Your name, your profile bar and your rank bar are three separate inventories — the same colour is three separate purchases.
  </Accordion>

  <Accordion title="Does Membership unlock cosmetics?">
    No. Every cosmetic is bought with Vito and available to everyone. Membership only makes you earn Vito faster.
  </Accordion>

  <Accordion title="Someone asked for my Vito PIN in Discord">
    **Fraud.** Vetox never asks for your PIN in Discord. It is only ever entered on the Vetox website.
  </Accordion>
</AccordionGroup>

## Data and privacy

<AccordionGroup>
  <Accordion title="Can I hide my profile?">
    Yes — visibility, discoverability, who can follow you, who can see your followers, and who can comment are all configurable on your profile.
  </Accordion>

  <Accordion title="What does a support agent see during a support session?">
    Only your dashboard, only for the server you started the session on, and view-only unless you grant more. See [I Need Help](/en/server-management/support-sessions).
  </Accordion>

  <Accordion title="Are ticket transcripts public?">
    They are link-protected, and every link can be revoked at once from [Ticket settings](/en/utility/tickets/settings).
  </Accordion>
