# Premium tiers

> Compare the Starter, Basic, Max and Black server premium tiers — what each one costs and what it unlocks.

Vetox sells two separate things. **Server Premium** upgrades one server and is bought by whoever manages it. [Membership](/en/premium/membership) upgrades your personal account and follows you everywhere.

<Note>
  They are independent. Membership does not unlock server features, and Server Premium does not unlock personal ones.
</Note>

## Tiers

|                   | Starter | Basic       | Max         | Black        |
| ----------------- | ------- | ----------- | ----------- | ------------ |
| **Monthly**       | Free    | **\$4.99**  | **\$7.99**  | **\$17.99**  |
| **Yearly**        | Free    | **\$44.99** | **\$69.99** | **\$149.99** |
| Yearly, per month | —       | \$3.75      | \$5.83      | \$12.50      |
| You save          | —       | 25%         | 27%         | 30%          |

<Note>
  Yearly prices are set independently, not calculated from the monthly price. The saving genuinely differs by tier — it is largest on Black.
</Note>

### With Custom Bot

[Custom Bot](/en/premium/custom-bot) is an add-on available on Max and Black.

|            | Monthly     | Yearly       | Add-on cost |
| ---------- | ----------- | ------------ | ----------- |
| **Max+**   | **\$9.99**  | **\$84.99**  |             |
| **Black+** | **\$19.99** | **\$169.99** |             |

<Warning>
  The add-on is \*\*$2 per month**, but on a yearly plan it is **$15 or $20 for the year**, not $24. Some checkout text describes it as "+\$2/month" on yearly plans too — the amount actually charged is the yearly figure above.
</Warning>

## What each tier is for

<CardGroup cols={2}>
  <Card title="Starter" icon="circle">
    Everything most servers need: moderation, leveling, welcomes, tickets, giveaways, suggestions, self-roles, counting, streaks. Genuinely usable indefinitely.
  </Card>

  <Card title="Basic" icon="circle-half-stroke">
    The largest jump. Anti-Raid, embed and advanced messages, sticky and delayed roles, colour panels, most ticket and application features, Battle Pass, and notifications.
  </Card>

  <Card title="Max" icon="circle-dot">
    Scale and delegation. Unlimited embeds, replies, reminders and starboards, plus Access Control for granular staff permissions, ticket SLAs and business hours.
  </Card>

  <Card title="Black" icon="circle-check">
    Adds AI — [AI Auto-Moderation](/en/moderation/ai-auto-mod), [AI Server Control](/en/moderation/ai-server-control) and a 10 million token monthly allowance.
  </Card>
</CardGroup>

<Tip>
  If you are choosing between tiers: **Basic** unlocks by far the most features. **Max** is about removing limits and delegating to staff. **Black** is only worth it if you want AI — it adds almost nothing else over Max.

## Notifications need Basic

All eight [notification platforms](/en/notifications/overview) require Basic or above. This is the most common reason a server upgrades.

## Buying

Premium is bought from the dashboard and processed by Paddle. Payment methods and invoices are handled there.

<Note>
  A subscription belongs to the **purchaser's account**, not to the server. If you buy premium for a server you later leave, the subscription is still yours and can be moved to another server.
</Note>

### Sharing a subscription

An invite code applies your existing subscription to someone else's server. Codes are single-use and expire after **7 days**.

<Warning>
  This is sharing, not gifting. Billing and ownership stay with you — you remain the payer, and you can revoke it.
</Warning>

<Note>
  Invite codes are only available on Paddle-billed subscriptions. Staff grants, partner subscriptions and promotional subscriptions cannot be shared.
</Note>

## Cancelling

You keep everything until the end of the period you have paid for. Nothing is removed early.

See [Billing](/en/premium/billing) for what happens afterwards, and [Feature limits](/en/premium/feature-limits) for the nine things that are permanently lost on downgrade.
