Unlimited is shown as ∞.
A few rows show a number where the tier itself is uncapped, because a second, flat ceiling applies on top of the tier limit — items and images per embed message stop at 10, starboards and starboard emoji at 50, and streak milestone roles at 100, on every tier that would otherwise be unlimited. Those are the figures actually enforced when you save, so they are the ones listed.
Vetox Backup is a gate as well as a limit: below Max the page is unreachable entirely, not merely capped. And it is the one exception to the disable-do-not-delete rule below — once a server stops being eligible its snapshots are kept for 30 days and then permanently deleted. See Vetox Backup.
Server Backup is a different feature and is free on every plan, including Starter. The rows above control how many backups you keep and how much of the server each one holds; its premium sections — messages, members, bans, threads, stored attachments, change tracking, import and Time Machine — are gates, listed below. Several limits are identical on Max and Black — ticket panels, active tickets per member, application panels, workflow actions. Black is not simply “more of everything”; its distinguishing feature is AI.
Notification subscriptions are capped at 10 per platform on every tier, including Black. That limit is not tier-scaled.
Two limits do not behave as this table implies, because of defects in the product:
  • Greet channels are capped at 5 on Starter and 15 on Basic, and 50 on Max — but Black falls back to 5, while the page advertises “Unlimited”. See Welcomer.
  • Active tickets per member is forced to 1 on Starter with no premium indicator at all, even though the field accepts 5. See Ticket settings.

AI access — this single gate covers AI Auto-Moderation, AI Server Control, the token allowance and AI custom rules.
Custom Bot does not grant AI. It is an add-on flag alongside your tier, and every AI check reads the tier alone. Max+ is tier 2 and has no AI access. Only Black and Black+ do.

What happens when you downgrade

The rule is disable, do not delete. Items above the new limit are switched off and restored automatically when you upgrade again.
Eight things are exceptions and are permanently lost. Record them before downgrading:Everything else — embed messages, auto-replies, reminders, starboards, seasons, application panels and application questions — is only disabled, and comes back on upgrade.
Server Backup never deletes a backup on downgrade — backups above the new limit are locked and unlock again when you are back within it. Its settings behave differently from the rule above: the automatic interval, the number kept, messages per channel and change tracking are clamped to the lower plan’s values and are not restored when you upgrade again. Set them again afterwards.

How quickly a change takes effect

A purchase or cancellation normally applies within a second: the payment provider notifies Vetox, which writes the change, clears its caches and broadcasts to every bot cluster.
If that notification is delayed, the fallback is a cache expiry of roughly 8 to 11 minutes. If a purchase has not applied after about 15 minutes, contact support rather than buying again.
