Reputation is a member-to-member endorsement. It appears on your public profile and ranks the Most Liked leaderboard.

The limits

Your daily allowance scales with your Membership tier. The free allowance is unchanged — paid tiers only add: The 24 hours are rolling: each endorsement frees its place exactly 24 hours after you gave it, wherever you gave it — in any server or on the website. You can therefore reach your limit after one or two endorsements today if you gave others yesterday. In Discord, the reply tells you when the next place frees up.
There is no dashboard page for reputation. It is given with a command or on a member’s public profile, and displayed on profiles.
These limits are why the reputation leaderboard moves slowly. Climbing it needs sustained goodwill from many different people — a small group of friends cannot push someone up it.

Opting out

Members can switch reputation off in their privacy settings. Blocking works in both directions: neither party can endorse the other.

When it is refused

On the website, every rejection produces the same message — “Could not give reputation. Try again.”The actual cause is one of four, and that message does not tell you which:
  1. You have already used your daily allowance (3, or more with Membership)
  2. You have already endorsed that person today
  3. Your account is under 90 days old
  4. They have reputation switched off, or one of you has blocked the other
Work through them in that order.In Discord, /rep and #rep name the reason and say when you can give again. A “please wait” reply is only the command’s short cooldown — it does not use an endorsement.

Troubleshooting

On the website, one generic message covers four causes — daily limit is the most common. In Discord, the reply names the reason and when you can give again.
It ranks the top 100 and only counts scores above zero, refreshed every 12 hours.
Check whether you have reputation disabled in your privacy settings, or whether either of you has blocked the other.
