Ready-made server layouts — channels, roles and permissions — built into your server in one action, from the catalog or from a Discord template link.
Server Templates are ready-made server layouts — channels, categories, roles and permissions, designed as a set — that Vetox builds into your server in one action. Browse them at vetox.io/templates, or apply one from Discord with /template.
Free on every plan, including Starter. Applying a template is a Server Backup restore under the hood, so it takes the same safety copy and shows the same progress card — but there is no premium gate on it.
The catalog is written in English. A template’s value is the exact channel and role names it writes into your server, and those go in verbatim. Translating the page around untranslated channel names would promise a server in your language and deliver one in English, so the catalog is deliberately English-only. Every other Vetox docs page, and the dashboard itself, stay in your language.
Every type — text, voice, announcement, stage, forum — with topics, slowmode and their permission overwrites
Roles
Name, colour, hoist, mentionable and the permission set each role is meant to carry
Server settings
Verification level, content filter, notification default, AFK timeout, and which channel is the system, rules and updates channel
A template is a layout. It never contains messages, members, bans, emojis or stickers, and it can never carry another server’s content into yours.
A template never renames your server. It applies the layout it designs, and leaves your server’s own name and description exactly as they are — in both modes.
Every template page shows its full channel tree and role list before you apply anything, plus who it is for, how it is meant to be run, and the mistakes it is designed to avoid. Search, filter by size and language, and sort by popularity from the catalog hub.
From its page on vetox.io/templates. Signed out, Vetox asks you to sign in with Discord first and brings you back.

Pick the server
Only servers you can configure are offered.
3
Choose Merge or Replace
The dialog opens on your server’s Server Backup page with the template already selected. See the two modes.
4
Read the plan
Vetox reads your live server and tells you exactly how many channels and roles will be created, reused and deleted before anything happens — and, if the template holds announcement or stage channels your server cannot have, how many are being left out.
5
Confirm
Replace asks you to type the server’s name first. Vetox then takes a safety backup and builds the template, with progress on the page.
You can reach the same dialog without the website: open Backup → Server Backup in your server’s dashboard.

Merge is the safe one, and it is the default. It adds what is missing and adopts what is already there, so a second merge of the same template changes nothing and duplicates nothing.
Merge matches by name, ignoring capitals. A role matches an existing non-managed role of the same name. A channel matches one with the same name, the same type and the same parent category — so #general under Text and #general under Voice Text stay two separate channels. Reused channels and roles keep the position you gave them; only new ones are placed by the template.
Replace deletes every channel and role in the server before it builds. Members are never kicked, but everything else goes, and messages are not restored by a template. The safety backup taken beforehand is what undoes it.
Before a template is applied, Vetox snapshots your server as it is right now — channels, roles, settings, emojis and stickers — and stores it as a Safety backup on the Backups tab.
If the safety copy fails, the template is never applied. Nothing is changed. Safety copies are kept for 7 days and do not count against your backup limit. Restoring one puts your server back the way it was.
/template is the Discord half of the catalog. Two subcommands, both ephemeral.

/template info — what a template contains
Option

Notes
template
Yes
A catalog name or ID. Autocompletes
Its channel and role counts, what it is for, and a link to its page. /template info covers the Vetox catalog only — a Discord template link has no catalog page to describe, so use /template load for one.
A name that matches two templates is refused rather than guessed at — pick one from the autocomplete, or use its ID. Autocomplete offers catalog templates only; a Discord link is typed in.
/template info template:community/starter-community-hub/template load template:Starter Community Hub/template load template:https://discord.com/template/H5qAZdEEeWdR/template load template:gaming/multi-game-hangout mode:replace
Discord lets a server owner publish their server as a template under Server Settings → Server Template, which produces a link like https://discord.new/H5qAZdEEeWdR.
Vetox applies those links to a server you already have — paste one into /template load, or into the Import dialog on the Server Backup page. Discord’s own link only ever creates a brand new, empty server; Vetox is how you use one on the server you are already running.
It does not work in the other direction: a Vetox catalog template has no discord.new link, because Discord only mints those from a real server it can read. To share a layout you have built, publish your own server as a Discord template and share that link, or export the server as a backup file.
Applying a template changes your server, so it is gated twice.

Discord
You need Administrator to apply a template from /template load. From the dashboard, ordinary Access Control for the Backup section applies
Server Backup permission level
Merge counts as creating, Replace counts as destructive. Under the default level — Admins can not take destructive actions — Replace is the owner’s alone
The level lives on the Server Backup page under Settings → Permissions, and only the server owner can change it. See Permissions.
Give Vetox Administrator before applying a template, and make sure its role sits above the roles the template creates. Discord will not let a bot grant a permission it does not hold itself — where that happens the role is still created, without those permissions, and Vetox says so.
Most catalog templates include an announcement or a stage channel, and Discord only allows either in a Community server. If yours is not one, Vetox leaves those channels out and builds the rest of the template normally. The plan tells you how many before you confirm, so the number you agree to is the number you get.
Turn Community on under Server Settings → Enable Community in Discord, then apply the template again in Merge mode — everything already built is reused, and the missing announcement and stage channels are added.
A server holds at most 250 roles and 500 channels, and Discord lets a bot create at most 250 roles or 500 channels on one server within 48 hours. A large template on a server that already has a lot of both can hit either.
Vetox checks the guild caps before you confirm and tells you if the template would take the server past them — delete some first, or apply in Replace mode so the old ones go. Discord’s 48-hour creation allowance is separate and cannot be refunded by deleting anything; if a build hits it, the job stops and keeps its place, and /backup status shows when it lifts.
The name, ID or link did not match anything published. Pick from the autocomplete, or browse vetox.io/templates. A Discord link must be a template link (discord.new/… or discord.com/template/…), not an invite.
Creating a backup from Discord needs the Administrator permission
Applying a template takes a safety backup of the whole server first, so it needs Administrator — Manage Server alone can leave channels hidden from you that the snapshot would still contain.
Only people allowed by the server's backup permissions can do this
The server’s Server Backup permission level leaves this action to the owner. Either the owner applies the template, or the owner changes the level under Settings → Permissions.
This would take the server past Discord's limit
The template plus what you already have exceeds 250 roles or 500 channels. Delete some, apply in Replace mode, or pick a smaller template.
Another backup job is already running on this server
One backup, restore or template apply at a time, per server. Wait for the running job, or cancel it from its progress card.
Some roles sit above Vetox in the role list
Those roles were reported and left untouched — Discord does not let a bot edit a role above its own. Move Vetox’s role higher and apply again.
The template applied, but a channel I already had was reused instead of recreated
That is Merge working as designed: a channel with the same name, type and parent category is adopted rather than duplicated. Use Replace if you want the template built from scratch.
The announcement or stage channels were not created
Discord only allows those in a Community server. Turn Community on under Server Settings and apply the template again in Merge mode — see Announcement and stage channels.
